I’m a member of the Aspiring Metals Team through the Etsy Teams network and this month’s blog challenge is to share an unconventional tool that we use. I have this guy…
It’s a jump ring closer (could use a better name), a piece of copper pipe into which I filed a notch. I wear it on the end of my left forefinger when putting jump rings together. It means not having to have a full hand available for pliers so that hand is free to move parts of projects around. I grab a jump ring with pliers in my right hand and use the notch of this tool to close the jump ring. It works perfectly and is especially handy with tiny jump rings where pliers would be difficult anyway. It’s one of my favorite bench top buddies.
Any thoughts on a name?
